Rebecca Perl was a health and science correspondent for National Public Radio for seven years. She is currently on the faculty (and also a graduate) of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and a correspondent for the Center for Investigative Reporting.
Perl’s accomplishments range from a Peabody Award-winning investigative series on tobacco to a duPont-Columbia award for a first-person narrative of her experience as a bone marrow transplant patient. Her credits include NPR news magazines and PRI's This American Life. Perl is also an experienced health and science print reporter, and has written for the Washington Post, Newsday and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, among others.
