April 23, 2009 - 11:20am

Sandy Tolan

Making compelling radio on scientific topics can be a challenge. There's so much **data to impart, and often scientists themselves can be, well, rather **dry. What to do? In this session Sandy Tolan will share some insights and techniques on how to connect with the listener's imagination and make engaging stories about science for the radio. He will also explore ways of communicating the stories of diverse populations, often from distant places and through other languages, and suggest techniques to help bring remote stories home.
