Kirk Siegler is the Denver-based reporter for KUNC-FM, the public radio affiliate for much of central and northern Colorado. His work focuses on the environment, energy and the economy; and he spends a lot of time in the car traveling the vast distances of the West to cover these topics. Prior to moving to Denver in 2007, he served as a reporter and then news director at Aspen Public Radio, and as Montana Public Radio’s statehouse reporter.
His reporting has garnered numerous AP and Edward R. Murrow awards, and his stories can be heard frequently on NPR news magazines and other programs. Siegler grew up near Missoula, Montana, and received a B.A. in journalism from the University of Colorado. He is an avid skier and traveler in his spare time.
