Spencer Weisbroth is an attorney in San Francisco where he maintains a multi-disciplinary practice in association with the San Francisco-based firm of Stimmel, Stimmel & Smith, P.C., where he is Of Counsel.
Weisbroth provides business and individual clients with sophisticated legal advice that bridges numerous specialties, including complex domestic and international business transactions, business formation and financing, structural planning for business entities and ventures, entertainment and intellectual property law matters, trust and estate matters, property law, non-profit law, as well as general business and contract law matters.
Previously, Weisbroth was the business affairs director for the Grammy award-winning Kronos Quartet. He was also a founding member and director of venture operations for Starter Fluid, a $32 million venture capital fund. Before moving to California, Weisbroth managed his law firm in Massachusetts, where he focused on providing clients in the media, entertainment, and arts industries with expert legal and business affairs advice.
Weisbroth has a long association of legal services with public broadcasting, and with the independent radio producer community. He has worked with, and advised, many of the major producers of public radio programming, and has been credited on numerous nationally and internationally distributed radio programs, including: The DNA Files, Lost & Found Sound, Beyond Affliction, and Blacklisted. In addition to being president of SoundVision Productions, Inc., Weisbroth has served for many years on MediaRites' national advisory board. He is a former board member of the Association of Independents in Radio (AIR), and a former business affairs attorney with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
Weisbroth holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors of political science and journalism from the State University of New York.
