Gretchen Weber

Gretchen Weber is a producer for Climate Watch, a new television, radio and web series from KQED Public Broadcasting that explores how climate change is affecting California. In addition to developing content for radio and the web, she also manages the Climate Watch multimedia elements and the program’s social media outreach efforts. Previously at KQED, Weber developed editorial content for the PBS/KQED companion site to the nationally-broadcast Jean-Michel Cousteau: Ocean Adventures series.

In her past life, Weber led wilderness expeditions in Australia and Alaska as an adventure travel guide, freelanced for The Boston Globe, and was laid off by three dot-coms. She holds a B.A. from Yale University in anthropology and an M.A. from NYU in journalism and mass communication.
