Loretta Williams is a managing editor and producer at SoundVision Productions. Williams has a deep history in public radio, working as an editor, producer, reporter and trainer. She started as a teenager at a community radio station in Cambridge, Massachusetts, graduated to Boston University's WBUR and eventually moved to D.C. to work as a producer for NPR's Morning Edition and Weekend Edition Sunday. From 1992-1994, Williams was a producer-trainer for NPR's National Desk News Training Unit where she taught advanced skills in story development, writing, and production to early career journalists, many of whom went on to become regular contributors to national, regional and local public radio programs. Williams is a former religion editor for NPR, and her most recent tenure was on NPR's Arts Desk, editing stories about film, books and television. She was an original member of The DNA Files team in 1998, and returned to SoundVision in 2006 to oversee production of The DNA Files III.
