Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock is the executive producer of Independent Native News, at KUAC-FM in Fairbanks, Alaska. INN is Alaska's only nationally produced radio show, and is broadcast on over sixty stations in the US and Canada. The daily five minute cast focuses on Native issues, including everything from tribal sovereignty, to health, the environment, and the controversial Cobell lawsuit. As many as 200 freelance reporters contribute stories to INN from all over the country. Someday she hopes to meet all of these talented reporters in person.
A lifelong Alaskan, Bonnie-Sue has worked all over the state as a contract reporter, in between commercial fishing and homeschooling her children. She also writes fiction and non-fiction as well as poetry.
