Benjamin Shaw is a reporter for Capitol News Connection, providing localized coverage of Capitol Hill for over 180 markets. Before coming to CNC, Shaw was an assistant producer for PRI's Studio 360 with Kurt Andersen, and shares a Peabody for his work there. Shaw was the executive producer of Turnstiles, an hour-long news program with feature stories from the streets of New York City.

Shaw skippered his 33-foot sailboat throughout the Caribbean on a year-long adventure. He worked as an actor in Los Angeles and as a programmer for Microsoft in Seattle. He received a bachelor of arts degree in English and theater from Oberlin College and a master of science degree in journalism from Columbia University.
