Part I will explore ways to cover science and technology that can distinguish you from the competition. We will look at how the web can you help you devise and follow through on good story ideas, and we will look at some of the web-based pitfalls you might encounter along the way. And, for all of the sound geeks out there, we will take a quick look at the latest and greatest (or smallest and lightest) in field recording equipment and sound editing software.
Part II will be an introduction to the delivery of content online. We will focus mostly on audio content, but will touch briefly on audio slide shows, still pictures and video. We will explore ways in which you can get creative with online content, without adding too much of an extra burden to your daily workload. We will look at some examples from across the podcasting spectrum, and then talk about how you can distinguish your online content from the rest of the crowd.
