David Krasnow began producing stories for PRI's Studio 360 in 2001, and joined the staff in 2003. He got his start in radio, age 17, at WESU-Middletown (Connecticut), and spun everything from indie rock to free jazz to north Texas conjunto.
He worked as an editor and writer in music, art, design, American history, land use, science for children, and other topics.
Before joining Studio 360, he worked as Senior Editor of Praxis Press, an online magazine and information site for healthcare practitioners. He has written for the Village Voice, Jazz Times, Artforum, Metropolis, The New York Observer, and The Wire (UK), and remains a contributing editor for Bomb.
